In our daily life activities, many things happen spiritually and satanic. Being that people live, they will always need to know what is wrong and what is right.
From my own understanding, I will shade light and give way to those who have problem differentiating what is religion and what is cultism.
Religion and cultism are two different concepts with distinct characteristics and practices. Below are some differences between the two:

- Cultism is the activity of worshiping or being devoted to a doctrine or a cult. Most of the times these cults are authoritative and hates to be asked many questions and they use their own powers to get what they want. They also call themselves funny and weird names which no one can relate the meaning.

- Whereas for a religion is whereby an act of worshiping God. Its a faith tradition that focuses on the figure of Jesus christ. Religious people believe in Jesus dying and resurrected and for them to be forgiven.
It is believed that wohe Soyinka was the founder of cultism together with other 7 people in Nigeria. As time went by many got influenced, it spread and finally practiced the same thing in different places.

Cultism is a dangerous malpractice whereby it has got its consequences which are:-
Murder, violence, spiritual problems, breakdown of law and order any many more effects.
Cultism is a menace to the society and it has drawn attention to many youths who are suppose to be the future leaders, hence steps should be taken before its leads to demise and destruction of the community. The ways should be :-

Public enlightenment -both the government and non governmental Organisations to tell youths and parents about the negative effects of cultism and put strict laws to whoever doesn’t adhere to the rules should be punished.

Parents teachers and other adults should be more vigilant and more watchful. They should monitor youths and friends they associate with and lastly moral instructions should be given to students of all level of education. Should be included in school curriculum and church workshops.

In conclusion, no one should practice cultism, religion is what is allowed be it becoming a muslim,a Hindu, a christian and all other religion and as we live, always live a life of pleasing God no matter the challenges and hard situations. No one is forced to believe in God but always have a righteous life at hand because we don’t know the time and hour He will come.
