A Voice for the Ocean on World Environment Day

In Kenya, Shariff Injamu, a passionate marine ecologist working with the Africa Climate and Environment Foundation (ACEF), took to the airwaves on Blue Radio’s special show “Wimbi la Mazingira” to shed light on the devastating effects of plastic pollution on marine life and coastal communities. Sharrif injamu took urgent action against plastic pollution, he says the theme of the year is timely but as we live in our society if we don’t put in the effort considering the current situation, we might fail to control the plastic crisis. His appearance came as part of a larger movement calling for grassroots awareness and policy change which it was something that started in Uruguay.
